AIVIAL

Aivial is a prescription medication that is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for postmenopausal women.

Aivial has beneficial effects on various tissues and organs such as the brain, vagina, and bones. Aivial is taken by postmenopausal women who have had at least 12 months since their last natural menstrual cycle.

Aivial is used for:

Relieving symptoms that occur after menopause

During menopause, the amount of estrogen produced in a woman’s body decreases. This can cause symptoms such as a feeling of warmth in the face, neck and breasts (“hot flashes”). Aivial reduces these symptoms in the period after menopause.

Osteoporosis prevention

After menopause, some women may develop thinning of the bones (osteoporosis).

There are three different types of HRT:

– HRT containing only estrogen;

– Combined HRT containing two types of female hormones – estrogen and progestogen;

– Aivial, which contains a substance called tibolone.

Aivial is different from other HRT. Instead of real hormones (such as estrogen and progestogen), it contains tibolone. The body breaks down tibolone to produce hormones. Its effects and benefits are similar to combined HRT.

Dosage and administration:

The recommended dose is one tablet daily.

Aivial should be swallowed with a little water, without chewing.

The tablet should be taken at the same time every day.
